In the second half of 2025, after a quiet evening learning and experimenting with AI, I had a simple idea:
What if a child could open a book and truly see themselves as the hero?

On a whim, I used a photo of my three-year-old daughter to create a storybook where she was the main character.
When she saw the first page, she gasped and squealed:

“Mom, that’s ME!”

She wanted to read it again and again. In that moment, I saw her feel seen, brave, and truly special.
That was the spark for PortraTale. We share that “I’m the hero” magic with families everywhere.
