If you do not place an order, your uploaded photo and preview results are normally deleted within 7 days.

If you place an order, your uploaded photo and preview results are used for production. Uploaded photos are typically deleted within 7 days after production is completed.

If you contact us about a customer support issue, remake request, print issue, delivery issue, or quality concern, we may keep the relevant uploaded photo or preview files for a limited time while we resolve the issue. Once the issue is resolved, we normally delete the uploaded photo and related preview files within 7 days, unless we are legally required to keep certain information for longer.

You may request earlier deletion of your uploaded photo at any time by contacting us at privacy@portratale.com with your order number or the email address used for your preview.

If there is a problem with your preview, order, print quality, or delivery, you may also contact privacy@portratale.com or service@portratale.com so we can review the issue.

Once an uploaded photo is deleted, it will no longer be available for preview generation, book production, customer support, or remakes. If a remake or support request requires the photo later, we may ask you to upload it again.

We do not use uploaded child photos to train AI models.

We do not use uploaded child photos in advertising creatives.

We do not sell, rent, or trade uploaded child photos.

We do not publish uploaded child photos, preview results, or finished book artwork on our website, social media, ads, or marketing materials unless you give us separate permission.

We may use automated image-processing and AI-assisted tools to create personalized previews and storybook artwork. Where service providers help us process images or generate previews, they are permitted to use uploaded photos only to provide services to PortraTale and not for their own AI training, AI model improvement, advertising, marketing, or unrelated purposes.

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including order fulfillment, customer support, legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, and business record requirements.

Uploaded photos and preview results are normally kept as follows:

  • Preview created but no order placed: deleted within 7 days

  • Order placed: uploaded photos are typically deleted within 7 days after production is completed

  • Customer support, remake, print issue, delivery issue, or quality concern: kept for a limited time while the issue is being resolved, then normally deleted within 7 days after the issue is resolved, unless we are legally required to keep certain information for longer

  • Earlier deletion request: handled after we verify the request, unless we must keep certain information for legal, tax, fraud prevention, or dispute-resolution reasons

Order records, transaction records, invoices, delivery records, and customer service communications may be kept for longer where needed for legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, chargeback handling, customer support, or business record purposes.
